The Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) is a global pioneer and leader in population health science. Based at the University of Oxford, NDPH provides answers to some of the biggest and most important questions about the causes, prevention and treatment of disease. We solve the problems that have the greatest impact, to create a healthier future for everyone.
NDPH has over 500 staff working in world-leading research groups, including the Medical Research Council Population Health Research Unit, Clinical Trial Service Unit and Epidemiological Studies Unit, Cancer Epidemiology Unit, National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit and other groups working on public health, health economics, ethics and health record linkage.
We are looking for a Communications and Public Engagement Officer to join a small team of communications specialists who work with researchers to enhance and maintain the reputation of the Department and maximise the visibility and impact of research outputs. You will act as the primary focal point for the Department’s public engagement activities and act as a business partner to selected research groups. You will have relevant experience in a communications/public engagement role and be able to develop, deliver, and support a range of engagement activities. This new role offers the opportunity to help engender understanding of the pioneering work undertaken by NDPH.
