The Ri has a clear vision that ‘Science is for Everyone’ and it is our belief that everyone should have equitable access to science. Through our packed event programme available in person or online, our UK schools’ outreach and social impact initiatives, and our global digital reach including 1.6m YouTube subscribers, we achieve our mission by connecting people with scientists to explore science together.
The aim of the Masterclasses programme is to introduce children and young people to the excitement and beauty of mathematics, computing science and STEM, beyond the classroom. We now reach both primary and secondary level students, from Aberdeen to Truro, working with local partners, particularly in areas with high levels of deprivation. We train and support Masterclass speakers from all backgrounds, working annually with over 400 upper-secondary students to develop and deliver their own STEM workshops, helping encourage the next generation of STEM communicators.
This is a permanent, part-time role (21 hours per week) with regular travel across the North of England, North Wales and Scotland, and occasional travel to Central London (approx. once a month). The role can be delivered remotely on a flexible work pattern, but it will include frequent term-time Saturdays.

Salary: £19,800 per annum, pro rata (c. £32,500 FTE)
