Since opening the Kirkcudbright Dark Space Planetarium in July 2021 the huge positive response and high demand has been exciting and has also demonstrated a potential for growth as we continue to identify educational opportunities and needs of the community. With the future looking bright we are looking to employ a new manager to take the business of the Kirkcudbright Dark Space Planetarium forward.
The purpose of the role is to manage Kirkcudbright Dark Space Planetarium’s existing business activities including centre operations and event programming, as well as strategic planning. The role will require maintaining and increasing the efficiencies and success of the charitable organisation by coordinating business operations, programme development and delivery, communications and event management, monitoring and motivating centre staff, managing operational costs and contracts, fundraising, improving administration processes, and engaging and developing relationships with partners, stakeholders, and the community.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with experience of business management, programming and event management, fundraising, budget management, and administrative excellence.
