Onyx Health is looking for an engaging, scientifically minded Medical Education Manager to help steer the creation of medical and scientific communications and compliance as a part of our Content team.  You will help to drive scientific discovery for the creation of medical communications for healthcare professionals and support our medical and content writers in the development of strategic medical communications plans, key messages and medical education materials. With expert knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance for the UK and a solid understanding of global pharmaceutical regulations, you will lead the business’ understanding of compliant content and assist the wider team to implement creative omnichannel campaigns that adhere to regulatory requirements across all channels and audiences.You’ll have an exceptional attentional detail, a dynamic flair for creative communication and the drive to discover new knowledge.

What’s involved?

• Lead the research of new clients products, therapies and medicines to establish a foundation of knowledge for the account teams, communications strategy and content development
• Lead research and advise on the market landscape of products providing recommendations of positioning
• Support the development of project and communications strategies and creative concepts
• Ensure medical messaging, compliance and regulation is considered and implemented throughout the development of communication strategies and materials
• Analyse and investigate scientific research for the identification, interpretation and simplification of complex scientific and medical information into clear and engaging messages
• Assist in the translation of scientific concepts into creative and dynamic written and visual content
• Develop medical education materials for healthcare professionals and patients
• Develop balanced and compelling scientific content for a range of audience types
• Proof and edit medical content, checking factual accuracy and referencing
• Support the teams’ understanding of scientific and medical concepts
• Provide guidance and manage content to ensure it adheres to applicable regulations and standards
• Develop and implement compliance training and support of compliance enquiries across the Onyx Health team
• Develop and implement compliance processes within the organisation
• Plan and execute advisory board meetings, and deliver post advisory board results analysis

Role Requirements

• Master’s degree level in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy or a related discipline. A PhD would be an advantage, but is not essential
• Strategic mindset that considers dynamic solutions
• Expert knowledge of UK pharmaceutical compliance
• Strong working knowledge of global pharmaceutical regulation
• Working knowledge of medical affairs
• Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
• Exceptional organisational, attention to detail and time management skills
• Excellent proofreading and editing skills
• Excellent researching skills
• Creative approach to communicating information
• Ability to simplify complex concepts to a range of audience demographics
• Excellent ability to manage multiple projects
• Desire and drive to ‘find a way’ through challenges
• Excitement for scientific understanding
• Confidence and flexibility in switching between medical and therapeutic areas
• Supervisory experience

Preferred but not required

• PhD in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy or a related discipline
• Understanding and experience of using Veeva
